Seawater is a very complex multi-component aqueous solution. Because its salt content is very high, and can not be directly used, now the first stainless steel mechanical filter to choose two ways to desalinate seawater, namely distillation method and reverse immersion method. Here are some common desalination skills.
1. RO
The desalination method of water-using equipment in electronic industry by pressurizing seawater so that fresh water can be intercepted by salt through immersion membranes. The main equipment of reverse immersion is mainly composed of high-pressure pump, reverse immersion membrane and energy recovery equipment. Regardless of seawater, brackish water, large, medium and small size, it is the fastest development of seawater desalination technology in the past 20 years. Besides Middle East countries, America, Asia and Europe, the production planning of middle and high schools is the fastest. Anti-immersion is the preferred method for all equipment, and it is also the preferred method for China now.
2. Multistage Flash (MSF)
The heated sea water is introduced into a lower pressure space. Because the ambient pressure is lower than the full vapor pressure corresponding to the temperature of the heated sea water, the sea water vaporizes rapidly at the moment, generates steam and condenses into fresh water. The principle can be used to make flash chambers with successive pressure descending step by step for transpiration. Multi-stage flash desalination equipment can be planned to become a large desalination plant, and can be built together with thermal power plants, using waste heat of thermal power plants to heat seawater, and hydropower co-generation will greatly reduce production costs. Most of the existing large-scale desalination plants choose this method.
3. Multi-effect transpiration (ME)
The transpiration process of heated seawater running in series through multiple evaporators. Joint operation with thermal power plants is also the primary task, but planning usually produces less than 10,000 tons per day. There are two types of transpiration. One is multi-effect splitting, which was more prevalent in the 1970s and 1980s. It is called vertical tube transpiration (VTE). Operating temperature is usually high, the top temperature is 100-120 degrees, some thermal power plants in Europe and Asia are using; the other is low temperature multi-effect distillation (LT-MED), the top temperature is about 70 degrees, more competitive than the former, is one of the most energy-saving methods of distillation.
4. Pressure Vapor Distillation (VC)
After the sea water is preheated, it enters the transpirator and transpires in the transpirator. The secondary steam generated is introduced to the heating side of the transpirator after the compressor tightens the progressive pressure. Fresh water is obtained after steam condensation, thus completing the recycling of heat energy. Its electricity or steam drive is also one of the most energy-saving desalination methods. But the planning is usually not big, mostly 1000 tons per day.
5. Electrodialysis (ED)
Electrodialysis uses potential difference as the driving force and selective permeability of ion exchange membranes to remove ions from water. Electrodeionization (EDI) is a combination of electrodialysis and ion exchange. Under the effect of DC electric field, the process of electrodialysis, ion exchange salt and ion exchange regeneration are completed.
6. Freezing method
That is to say, freezing sea water to freeze, and separating salt from liquid fresh water to solid ice. Theoretically, it is one of the most effective ways to desalinate, but no useful plan has been formed. China's sea ice capital is infinite, and only collection, melting, desalination of ice water and other labor consumption, energy consumption and related facilities are questionable. Further engineering research is needed. Artificial cooling method, as early as the 1970s, has been discussed in the United States. It is doubtful that there are too many units such as refrigeration, ice freezing, ice crystal transportation, Chuchu washing, melting and refrigeration recovery, which are inefficient and costly.
